How it works

Five steps, one direction: from a line on a page to a virtue in your day. Daily check-in belongs to Tribute and is not a separate place to visit.

  1. Shelf

    Choose from a curated shelf.

Books are added deliberately, across traditions and languages, and you can filter out the religious material you would rather not meet. The shelf is small on purpose.

  2. Wand

Keep the sentence that moved you.

A Wand is one sentence pulled out of a book. It is the only thing you need in order to start — no summary, no essay, no notes.

  3. Illuminate

Name the feeling and the virtue.

Say what the sentence made you feel, and whether you saw that virtue present or missing in your own life. This is where reading turns inward.

  4. Tribute

Commit to a small daily action.

Turn the virtue into one concrete action, choose the days you will keep it, and set how many times a day counts. You decide the private plan; you can keep it to yourself.

  5. Honor

Honour the days you showed up.

Check in each day you practise. When you have kept at least four fifths of your days, you may record a clip of up to 59 seconds — and others can join your Tribute from it.

Two honest numbers

Every Tribute shows an action rate — the share of days you recorded at least once — and a completion rate — the share of days you reached your daily target. Both are recalculated from your own records, never stored as a score, and the Honor threshold at four fifths is measured on the action rate.
